I've been hesitant to finally hit "Publish" on this. I've been sitting on this blog for years, ignored it, forgot about it, and then decided to start it up again recently, but still, it's been a couple of weeks since I started looking into it again. There's a fear associated with putting yourself out there and trying something new. I opened a fortune cookie the other day, I had to take a picture. To me, putting myself out there is daring, so here we go!
This blog is going to be a little mix of everything... it's mostly geared towards trying to follow a healthy lifestyle of exercise and eating, but it will include much more.
Anyway... a little about me, I'm a "nerdy girl" because:
- I'm a computer programmer
- I'm an introvert
- I'm not good at sports (sigh... I think this has more to do with coordinating moves with other people, and also volleyballs scare me when they're headed in my direction... But I enjoy exercising, walking, and bike riding)
- I was good at Math... I got A's in university calculus... I took a second calculus course because I was like "oh, that's an easy A for me"... who says that? Anyway, I'm not good at calculus anymore. I forget everything.
I don't mind being a nerd, I think being a nerd is cool! When you grow up as a nerd, and on the "outside" of the in-group, you have time to develop a personality.
What will you find here?
- My progress to improve my activity and physique.
- What I'm eating, plus some simple recipe ideas (look, this isn't going to be a fancy-shmancy food blog)
- Other stuff that interests me that I feel like writing about
I met my husband in University (he's Nerdy for Birdy), we both studied Computer Science.
We have two young boys and we live in southwestern Ontario, Canada.
I'm new to blogging, so I don't know how much I'm going to post or if this will
even be interesting, but here we go! Leave me a message if you're interested in coming along with me!
