I wouldn't consider myself to be fashionable --or a fashionista. Some days I struggle to show up with ironed cloths, or someone points out there's a food stain on my cloths, which I immediately retort that I've got kids and they did it. In fact, I don't really enjoy cloths shopping because I find it frustrating; either the cloths are not cut to fit my shape, or the material looks like it has no structure and will look like a rag after one or two washes.
I wanted to wear a skirt to work, but it was cold out, so I started with a pair of black opaque tights, and added a very fall inspired brown tweed skirt with suede accents at the waist. My shirt is a super soft pink-grey sweater (on the thinner side, not bulky) that I tucked in to add more definition to the waist and to show the detail on the skirt. The sleeves on the sweater have some cute rouching string ties. To keep me a bit warm, I topped it with a dark denim cropped jacket. Then the booties... I think this is what polishes the look to make it a bit edgy. I'm wearing cute "slouch" ankle booties.
Most of these items I've already had in my closet, but I'll do my best to remember where I bought them and for how much:
- Tights - probably from Wal-Mart - $5-$6
- Tweed Skirt - Dalia Collection - purchased at Winners several years ago. I think it was $25
- Sweater - George - purchased at Wal-Mart recently - $15
- Jean Jacket - Style & Co - purchased at The Bay last winter - $20 (it was on clearance, regular $80!)
- Ankle Booties - KStudio - purchased at Globo a couple years ago $70

I love the "booties" - wish I could wear a heel like that.
