I was embarrased my sister-in-law found this at my house...

Hey Nerds,
I think the title of the post is hilarious... did my sister in law found something salacious in my house?

Last year we were hosting a party at our house for Matthew and Michael's birthdays.  My sister-in-law, Dawn, was in the kitchen helping clear some of the trays of food and preparing to bring more out.  Then she walked up to me holding something up and and said "wow, this is amazing, where did you get it?".  I looked over at what she had and felt the color rising in my cheeks.

I was like "oh, uh, yeah, that's a cleaning tidy-up checklist for Dwayne while he's home in the summer"...
Sorry to let you guys down... I think you were expecting a more exciting story... but, I was embarrassed because I didn't really want people looking at it.  However, the fact is, people work well with lists!  and if you like to keep a tidy house, it's beneficial to have a check list of expectations.  My sister-in-law asked me to email her the list so she could implement it at her house too.

Unfortunately, I forgot about my list this summer until I was thinking of my next blog post.  I found my document, and there were actually three check lists that work together:
  • "Daily Clean Up/Up Keep" Check List
  • "Company is coming" Check List
  • "We're having a Party" Check List
Print them out and laminate them (You can buy self laminating sheets at Dollarama, or use sheet protectors) and then use them to check off items.  Also guys, I'm definitely not a clean freak... if you were to come in my house at any given time, you'll find a stack of papers that never manages to get filed, my living room shelves filled with Legos and games falling off the shelf, crumbs on the counter, cereal left out from the morning, etc.  You get the point.  My lists are a guide, but don't always get accomplished.
